Bethel Liles, 91, formerly of 2100 Celina Road in St. Marys, died at 3:55 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 2009, at the Golden LivingCenter - Valley in St. Marys.
She was born May 5, 1918, in Martin, Ky., a daughter to Elkaner and Emma Lou (Keaton) Frazier. She was married to Warner Liles, who died July 6, 1967. She is survived by her sister, Mary Jean (Robert) Hall of St. Marys; sister-in-law Annalea Frazier of St. Marys; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, E.K. Frazier Jr.; two brothers, Russell Frazier, Dale Frazier; a sister, Louise Sparks. She was a 1939 graduate of Martin High School and also graduated from Jacobs Business College in Paintsville, Ky. She had worked at a shipyard in Baltimore, Md., during World War II, and later retired as a production employee from the General Motors Co. in Dayton. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Montezuma. She enjoyed music, dancing, reading and solving crossword puzzles. Services are scheduled to be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at the Miller - Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 W. High St., in St. Marys, with the Rev. Kevin Neumann officiating. Burial will follow at the Bear Creek Cemetery in Trotwood. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home on High Street.
