Patricia A. Patterson, 77, of Wapakoneta, died at 12:22 a.m., Monday, Aug. 3, 2009, at the Wapakoneta Manor.
She was born Sept. 17, 1931, in St. Marys, a daughter of James and Freda Cable, who preceded her in death.
On March 12, 1953, she married Forest H. Patterson, who preceded her in death in 2000.
She is survived by her six children, Henry (Marie) Patterson of Sidney, Star (Tony) Mallory of Troy, Ken (Kathy) Patterson of Sidney, Randy (Terri) Tomberlin of St. Marys, Jeanie (Ronnie) Henry of Texas, Brian (Theresa) Patterson of St. Marys; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shelly Kay; a sister, Lonna Wolfe; two brothers, Richard, Robert Cable.
A homemaker, Mrs. Patterson also worked in the food industry for many years and later worked for her sister Emma at her restaurant in Forest. She was very involved in the community center where she lived, and enjoyed cooking for the residence. She also enjoyed reading and sewing. She was a member of the Community of Christ in St. Marys. There will be a celebration of life from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, at the Defiance Commons Community Room for family and friends.
The cremated remains will be buried at a later date in the Harris Creek Cemetery, Bradford. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society. Condolences may be expressed at www.bayliffandeleyfh.com. |
