Charles E. Williams, 90, long time St. Marys resident died Tuesday, April 28, 2009, of heart failure in Tarpon Springs, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his son Jerry, and is survived by his sister Elsie Lutz of Akron, Ohio, his wife of 68 years Kathleen, son, David and wife Cindy, living in Tarpon Springs, and daughter, Joceil (McNiff) and husband Patrick, living in Sammamish, Washington, as well as seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He worked at Goodyear for 30 years as well as co-published the “Penny Saver,” a weekly shopping guide along with his wife Kay. The World War II Navy veteran was also a Little League coach with his two sons. Along with sports activities Charlie loved dancing and playing bridge. He was a member of the Wapakoneta Eagles and a life member of the American Legion. The memorial service was held in Tarpon Springs, and was attended by his family and friends. He was a loving husband and father and will be greatly missed. |
