Marjorie L. Rice, 92, of St. Marys, died at 5:50 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2009, at the St. Marys Living Center.
Marjorie L. Rice, 92, of St. Marys, died at 5:50 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2009, at the St. Marys Living Center. She was born on Jan. 5, 1917, in Pandora, a daughter of Edward and Clara Belle Myers Rice, and they preceded her in death. She is survived by a niece, Judy Gray of St. Marys; a nephew, Richard (Louise) Morvay of Ismo, S.C.; four great-nephews, Michael Gray, Steven Morvay, Mark Morvay, Robert Morvay; six great great-nephews; a great great-niece; two great great great-nephews; a great great great-niece. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Vera Lugibill, Mabel Morvay; a brother Earl Rice. She had been an assembler at Westinghouse. She was a member of South Side Christian Church, she had been a long time resident of Lima, residing on Holly Street. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, at the Shawnee Chapel Chiles-Laman Funeral Home in Lima, with the Rev. Douglas Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Pandora. Visitation will be held on hour prior to the services at the Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Bible Society of WTGN. |
