Vernon F. Stolzenburg, 83

Vernon F. Stolzenburg, 83, of Wapakoneta, died at 7:10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012, at Auglaize Acres.  

He was born on Aug. 28, 1929, in Wapakoneta, the son of Henry and Alpha (Myers) Stolzenburg, who preceded him in death.  

On April 12, 1948, he married Betty L. Chilcoat, and she survives.

Other survivors include four sons, Gary (Annette) Stolzenburg, of Vernon, Wisc., Rick (Kim) Stolzenburg, Randy (Rebecca) Stolzenburg and Steven Stolzenburg, all of Wapakoneta; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; three brothers.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter and infant son, Sandra Sue and Terry Lynn Stolzenburg; a daughter-in-law, Connie Stolzenburg;  a grandson; and a sister.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Bayliff and Eley Funeral Home, Ohio 501, Wapakoneta.  

Burial is to follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens, near Moulton.  

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
