Vernis Glen Hanna, 89, of 1311 Fairground Road, in Celina, died at 8:05 a.m. Monday, March 26, 2012, at the Celina Manor Nursing Home in Celina.

He was born on Feb. 28, 1923, in Darke County, to Garnet and Daisy (Norris) Hanna, and they preceded him in death.

On Jan. 27, 1950, he married Martha Brown, and she preceded him in death on Sept. 4, 2011.

He is survived by his sons, Ray (Ruth) Hanna, Paul (Phyllis) Hanna, Dave (Deb) Hanna and Mark (Patricia) Hanna, all of Celina; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers; a sister.

He was preceded in death by a brother; two sisters; a grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with the Rev. Bruce Head and the Rev. Tony Richmond officiating. Burial will follow in Swamp College Cemetery in Celina.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour before services at the funeral home.
