Two Arrested On Drug Charges

CELINA — Two Celina men were arrested on Wednesday on a slew of drug charges involving heroin.

At approximately 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, an Ohio Adult parole officer requested assistance checking on a parolee and ensuring his compliance with parole orders.  When officers arrived at the residence, violations were observed.  Officers then applied for a received a search warrant for the residence located at 751 Deford Street, Lot  No. 100, Celina.

The search of the residence turned up 36 suspected heroin capsules and 11 suspected Alprazolam pills and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia. Celina Police Department's K-9 unit assisted in the search.

Dennis Clutter, 54, and William Culver, 49, of the Deford Street address, were arrested and booked into the Mercer County Adult Detention Facility on charges of drug possession.  The cases have been sent to the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office for review.  Additional charges are possible.

The Mercer County Sheriff's Office, Celina Police Department, and Grand Lake Task Force officers continue to work together to battle the drug problems in the community.
