Div. IV Sectional
At Coldwater
Fort Recovery vs. St. Henry, 6:15
Fort Recovery was state-ranked much of the season and got just the third seed at Coldwater. They’ll face St. Henry, the fifth-seeded team in the sectional despite losing six games by three points or less, tonight at 6:15 p.m.
“They’re a nice team,” Minster head coach Nann Stechschulte said of St. Henry last week. “They’re a number five seed. I guarantee there aren’t any other sectionals that have a five seed like our sectional does. It’s not fair to any of the teams that we have to hit that quality of a team that early.”
New Knoxville vs. New Bremen, 7:45 p.m.
New Knoxville won the regular season match-up against New Bremen, 45-25, on Jan. 12. New Knoxville sophomore Paige Lehman scored 17 points in that first match-up.
New Knoxville was a surprising entry into the district tournament last year with a young team without a senior. Now Tim Hegemier’s 17-win team is still young, but tournament tested.
“It comes down to doing the little things right,” Hegemier said. “If you do the little things right, you can go a long ways.”
At Van Wert
Spencerville vs. Parkway, 8 p.m.
Parkway won the regular-season match-up, 71-60.
