Track: Minster wins Versailles boys invite

VERSAILLES — The Minster boys track team earned a win in the white division at the Versailles Boys Invitational on Saturday.

The Wildcats scored 195 points. Covington finished second with 115 points and New Bremen finished third with 78 points.

Minster senior Francis Slonkosky won the 1600 meter run with a 4:32.37 pace and the 800 meter run with a 2:02.16 time.

Minster’s Ryan Will won the shot put with a throw of 50 feet, 10.5 inches.

Minster’s Jake Winner won the discus throw with a toss of 146 feet.

The Wildcats’ Derek Collins won the long jump with a jump of 20 feet, 1.5 inches.

Minster sophomore Paul Dues won the high jump by clearing five feet, 10 inches after winning a jump-off against Marion Local’s Jeff Knapschaefer.

The Minster 3200 meter relay team of Andy Albers, Eric Dahlinghaus, Dominic Slonkosky and Francis Slonkosky won with a time of 8:21.89.

The Minster 800 meter relay team of  Troy Kauffman, Josh Spieles, Alan Tebbe and Korey Schultz won with a 1:34.3 time.

The Minster 1600 meter relay team of Troy Kauffman, Paul Dues, Korey Schultz and Francis Slonkosky won with a 3:34.51 time.
