TRACK: Minster has five crowned champs on first day of MAC meet

NEW BREMEN — Minster crowned five Midwest Athletic Conference champions on the first day of the conference’s track championships.

The Minster boys are out to an early lead in the team standings with 62 points, while the Minster girls (35.5 points) are in second behind Versailles (47 points).

Tuesday Winners

Minster’s Kayla Wuebker earned another Midwest Athletic Conference title in the pole vault, clearing 12 feet.

Minster’s Paul Dues won the boys high jump, clearing six feet.

The Wildcats’ Derek Collins won the long jump with a leap of 21 feet.

Minster’s Ryan Will won the boys shot put title with a put of 53 feet, 2.5 inches.

Minster’s Jake Winner won the boys discus with a throw of 164 feet, four inches.

The MAC meet continues on Friday night at New Bremen High School starting at 4:30 p.m.
