NEW BREMEN – The New Bremen volleyball team dominated in the three games it won and defeated the Fort Recovery Indians 25-11, 25-13, 19-25 and 25-12 in a MAC contest played at New Bremen.

“We played aggressively throughout the match tonight,” Cardinals head coach Theresa Jenkins said. “Except for the third set we played aggressive. We had strong starts and finishes.”

Julie Brown led the Cardinals with 11 kills and seven blocks. Victoria Wente added seven kills.

New Bremen’s Haley Moeller had 15 digs and Tarynn Clune added 14 digs. Karli Jones led the Cardinals with 25 assists.

The Cardinals (4-3, 1-1) will travel to New Knoxville next Thursday.

ST. HENRY 3, MINSTER 0
ST. HENRY — The defending Division IV state champion Redskins dealt Minster a 25-15, 25-21, 25-17 loss on Thursday in Midwest Athletic Conference action.
Claire McGowan led Minster with seven kills.

MARION LOCAL 3, DSJ 0
MARIA STEIN — Claire Heitkamp put down 12 kills to lead Marion Local to a 25-13, 25-11, 25-16 win over Delphos St. John's on Thursday.

NEW KNOXVILLE 3, PARKWAY 0
NEW KNOXVILLE — The Ranger volleyball team had a balanced hitting attack in a 25-12, 25-15, 2514 win over Parkway on Thursday.
Meg Reineke led the way with eight kills. Haley Horstman, Taylor Niemeyer, Paige Lehman and Rachel Leffel each had seven kills for New Knoxville, which improved to 5-2 and 2-0 in the MAC.

BOYS SOCCER
ST. MARYS 3, ELIDA 3

ELIDA — The Roughriders and Bulldogs played to a 3-3 stalemate in a Western Buckeye League boys soccer match.

NEW KNOXVILLE 0, BOTKINS 0
NEW KNOXVILLE — The Rangers and Trojans both had shutout efforts in a 0-0 tie on Thursday at New Knoxvillle Community Park. New Knoxville keeper Dean Frankenberg made four saves.

GIRLS SOCCER
ST. MARYS 3, COLDWATER 0

The St. Marys girls soccer team posted its fourth shutout of the season and won a non-league game over Coldwater on Thursday night.

GIRLS TENNIS
ST. MARYS 3, DEFIANCE 2

A pair of doubles wins helped lift the St. Marys girls tennis team to a 3-2 win over Defiance on Thursday. The Roughriders' second doubles team of Halie McGee and Abby Wilker won a marathon match, 6-3, 6-7, 7-6, over Defiance's Courtney Polce and Karen Krontz. The match took nearly three hours and allowed St. Marys to secure the victory.

BOYS GOLF
MINSTER 156, COLDWATER 203

MINSTER — Three Minster players broke 40 and the Wildcats earned a 156-203 win over Coldwater in an MAC boys golf match at Arrowhead Golf Club on Thursday.
Austin Brackman shot a 38 to earn medalist honors. John Burke and Xavier Francis each carded 39s for the Wildcats.

DSJ 168, NEW KNOXVILLE 185
MINSTER — Delphos St. John's Nick Kaiser led the way with an even par 36 and the Blue Jays won a 168-185 match over the New Knoxville boys golf team on Thursday at Arrowhead Golf Club. New Knoxville's Tyler Shreve fired a two over par 38 as low man for New Knoxville.

VERSAILLES 162, NEW BREMEN 165
VERSAILLES — Versailles won a close MAC match over the New Bremen boys golf team 162-165 on Thursday at Stillwater. A trio of golfers shared medalist honors. New Bremen's Darin Bergman along with Versailles' Brandon Groff and Mitchell Stover each shot 40s.

WAPAKONETA 173, O-G 176
Caleb Acheson's 42 was good enough for medalist as Wapakoneta earned a win over the Titans.
Bobby Crow and Drew Wayman each shot 43s for the Redskins, who improved to 5-1 in the WBL.

GIRLS GOLF
MINSTER 204, COLDWATER 232
CELINA — Claire Fischer shot a 45 to lead Minster to a 204-232 win over Coldwater in a MAC meet at the Mercer County Elks.

VERSAILLES 184, NEW BREMEN 223
MINSTER — Versailles' Brooke Wehrkamp shot a 41 and the Tigers girls golf team downed New Bremen, 184-223, on Thursday at Arrowhead Golf Club.
Rachel Holdren led New Bremen with a 51.
