Thomas L. Hager, 66

Thomas L. Hager, 66, of 118 Defiance St., St. Marys, died at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at his residence.

He was born on Nov. 5, 1945, in Dayton, to Leo and Zillah (Miller) Hager, and they preceded him in death.

He is survived by three children, Gretchen Hager of Wapakoneta, Kurt Hager of St. Marys and Allison Ivy (Richard) Shinn of St. Marys; three grandchildren, Lidea Bowersock, Sidney Boruff and Sacora Shinn.

He was a graduate of Wilbur Wright High School in Dayton.

He retired from the Durion Corp. in Dayton after 35 years, where he worked in pump assembly.

For many years, he toured as a semi-professional with the American Bowling Congress. Another favorite pastime was searching for lost treasures with his metal detector.

Rites are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Fridayat Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Drive, Vandalia. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
