Thomas H. Weimert, 80, of 1140 S. Knoxville Ave., St. Marys, died at 3:04 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2012.

He was born on Nov. 22, 1931, in Wapakoneta, to Carl and Rosella (Meyer) Weimert, and they preceded him in death.

On Aug. 25, 1984, he married Doris (Williams) Weimert, and she preceded him in death on Sept. 9, 2000.

He is survived by four sons, Bruce Weimert of Lima, Vance Stemen of Tennessee, Steven Sprague of Wapakoneta and Gregory Sprague of Wapakoneta; four daughters, Carla Weimert of Lima, Vicky Spencer of Lima, Christina Sprague of Botkins and Kimberly Holliday of Lima; a brother; 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers; a sister.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Marys, with the Rev. Barry Stechschulte officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Wapakoneta.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Cisco Funeral Home, 1175 E. Greenville Road, St. Marys.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church or to Valley Nursing Home in St. Marys.
