Teresa McDermitt-Snyder, 55

Teresa McDermitt-Snyder, 55, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2012, after a brave and heroic battle against cancer. She is loved and will be greatly missed.

Teresa was born on Oct. 3, 1956, in St. Marys, to Fred and Peggy (Krugh) Reedy, and her mother survives her in Idaho. Her father preceded her in death. 

She is survived by her second husband, Michael Snyder of Washington Court House; a daughter, Peggy (Shane) McEnroe and their son, William Lemmon of Jeffersonville; her son, Lawrance (Nina) McDermitt and their children, Krissa, Conner, Rae-Anne and Michael, all of Alaska; her son, Eric (Missy) McDermitt and their daughter, Kassidy of Idaho; three brothers, Timothy (Donna) Reedy of Illinois and Daniel (Jana) Reedy and Tom (Alana) Reedy, both of Ohio; four stepsisters, Robin, Holly, April and Joy.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Tony McDermitt; her brother, Larry Reedy.

Teresa had always been a caring, loving and selfless wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, niece and friend. All who came in contact with her could not help but fall in love with her magical and magnetic personality. Her death is our loss and Heaven’s gain.

Funeral services for Mrs. McDermitt-Snyder will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Wellman-Kinzer Funeral Home in Washington Court House. Burial is to follow in Highlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
