Stella J. Logan, 98, of 119 St. Buckeye St., St. Marys, died at 7:52 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys following a brief illness.
She was born June 8, 1912, in Langley, Ky., the daughter of William and Alonzo (Hayes) Hall.
She is survived by her daughter, Glenda (Dale) Kuck of St. Marys; by a daughter-in-law, Nancy Logan of Lexington, Ky.; by three grandchildren, Randolph (Margie) Click of Burke, Va., Steve (Carolyn) Logan of Lexington, Ky., John Logan of Lexington, Ky.; by five great-grandchildren, Amanda Click, Angela Click, Grace Logan, Josh Logan and Matthew Logan; by four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; by two husbands, Glen Moore and Clarence Logan; by a son, Larry Logan; by two brothers, Everett Hall and Emmett Hall; by a sister, Flossie Hall Frasure.
Stella retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in St. Marys after 22.5 years of service. She was a member of Wayne Street United Methodist Church in St. Marys. She was a great homemaker, enjoyed shopping, making flower arrangements and sewing.
Funeral rites will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 W. High St., St. Marys, with the Rev. Mary Kay Brown, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour before services at the funeral home on Thursday, where memorial donations may be directed to the Wayne Street United Methodist Church Building Fund
