St. Marys Memorial upgrades weight room equipment

June 17, 2011

The new weight room equipment at St. Marys Memorial High School was installed on June 8.

New weight room equipment was installed at Memorial High School on June 8 and the early feedback from the students has been positive.

“Kids can be pretty tough on equipment so we made sure we got heavy-duty stuff that will hold up,” St. Marys Athletic Director Joe Bline said.

The Equipment Guys, a company out of  Urbancrest, Ohio, supplied the equipment.

The  cost of the weight room equipment was originally $60,000, but the three lowest bids for the equipment all came in over $10,000 below that estimate in March.

The Equipment Guys’ bid was $42,054.44, and Bline said the project came in well in under that original $60,000 budget.
