St. Marys' Knous Special Mention All-Ohio in D3

St. Marys senior safety Jared Knous earned Special Mention Associated Press All-Ohio honors in Divison III on Tuesday.

Knous, who led the Western Buckeye League with eight interceptions and was named First Team All-WBL and all-district, also led St. Marys with 71 tackles. He broke up 10 passes attempts, caused two fumbles, recovered two fumbles and blocked two kicks.

Wapakoneta’s Kyle Gonterman, a 6-2, 240-pound senior, was named Second Team All-Ohio. Wapak 6-1, 230-pound fullback Zach Schmerge earned a Third Team All-Ohio selection. Wapak’s Thomas Schoenlien was named Special Mention.
