St. Marys girls bowling district runner-up, state bound

LIMA — The St. Marys girls bowling team finished as the district runner-up and will compete at the OHSAA state bowling championships this weekend in Columbus while senior Kristen Dammeyer was the top bowler with a 608 series.

St. Marys finished second with a final team score of 3,529 pins. Coldwater won the district title with a score of 3.680. Napoleon (3,433) and Port Clinton (3,391) also advance to state.

Dammeyer turned in the best three-game score with games of 235, 196 and 177 for her 608 total. St. Marys senior Serena Rockwood was fifth overall with  a 540 series. She bowled games of 174, 178 and 188. St. Marys sophomore Paige Keysor was 25th with a 478 series. Abby Smith added a 439. Mariah Heffner had a 154 in her one game bowled while Faith Monnin bowled a 146 in her one game bowled.
