Shane E. Hardin, 39

Shane E. Hardin, 39, of Piqua, died at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at his residence.

He was born on Oct. 11, 1972, in Piqua, to Ronald L. and Patricia (Wagner) Hardin Sr., and they survive him.     

He is also survived by his loving daughter, Kelsey of Piqua; his fiancée, Jenni Smith-Piatt; his children of his heart, Jade and Jasi of Piqua; five sisters, Dawna (Jim) Wellbaum of Eaton, Theresa Miller of Miamisburg, Valerie (Scott) Moniaci of Tipp City, Shawna (Rod) Suman of Springfield and Mary Bradner of Atlanta, Ga.; three brothers, Ronald (Pamela) Hardin Jr. of Janesville, Wisc., Tony (Patti) Bubp of Sidney and Rick (Teresa) Hardin of Piqua; 20 nieces and nephews; 24 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Shane was previously employed at Plastipak in Jackson Center, and more recently, he had worked at U Name It Handyman Service.

He coached soccer for the Piqua Youth Soccer Association, enjoyed woodworking, was a talented artist and enjoyed sports, especially being a fan of Notre Dame University, the Dallas Cowboys and the Cincinnati Reds. He was a member of the Covington Fraternal Order of the Eagles.

A service to honor his life will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home, with the Rev. Josh Kespelher and the Rev. Kenneth Stewart officiating.

His family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  

Memorial contributions may be made to the Piqua Youth Soccer Association.
