Sanders Gets Life

August 20, 2014

CELINA — Trevin Sanders will more than likely never see the outside of a prison cell.

Mercer County Common Pleas Judge Jeffrey Ingraham sentenced Sanders to two consecutive terms of life in prison without the possibility of parole for his role in the murders of Colleen and Robert Grube in November 2011. The sentence was identical to the one handed down to codefendant Bryant Rhoades last week.

Sanders pleaded guilty in February to two counts each of aggravated murder, aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary as part of a plea deal. Sanders was not eligible for the death penalty because he was a juvenile at the time of the crimes.
