Russell W. Louth, 77

Russell W. Louth, 77, of Spencerville, died at 1:10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

He was born on March 20, 1934, in Spencerville, to Donald and Chloe (McCullough) Louth, and they preceded him in death, along with his stepmother, Myrtle (Vandemark) Louth.

On April 30, 1955, he married Judy A. Harbison, and she survives.

He is also survived by three children, Jennifer (Tim) Barnes of St. Marys, Amy (Daniel) Miller of Fremont and David (Linda) Louth of Lafayette; eight grandchildren; a brother.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Nancy.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville. Burial is to follow in the Spencerville Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by the Spencerville Veterans.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday and one hour before the service Monday at the funeral home.
