Roxy Vogan, 74
Roxy Vogan, 74, of 1712 Kingsbury Drive, St. Marys, died at 8:19 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at the Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born on Oct. 20, 1939, in St. Marys, the daughter of Paul and Violet (Williams) Rieger.
She is survived by her two children, Jim (Freda) Vogan of Lexington, Tenn.; Lani (Steve) Byrley of Celina; by four granddaughters, Carrie Vogan, Lisa Vogan, Amy (Samuel) Bell and Traci Byrley; by a great-granddaughter, Braylee Bell.
She is also survived by her siblings, Paul Rieger of St. Marys and Denise Kohler of Wapakoneta.
Roxy was preceded in death by her parents, by her former husband, Jim Vogan, by her close friend, Carroll Fischbach and by her sister, Shirley Hudson.
She was a 1957 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. She retired after 33 years of service at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in St. Marys. She was an accomplished artist, who painted in the watercolor, pastel, and oil media. She enjoyed being with her family, taking care of her home, traveling and working in her yard. She was a member of the Riverside Art Center.
Funeral rites will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys, the Rev. Barry Stechschulte, officiant.
Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
