She was born on May 9, 1935, in Fort Loramie, to William and Theresa (Sherman) Albers, and they preceded her in death.

On July 2, 1955, she married Norman U. Menker, and he survives at Otterbein.

She is also survived by three sons, Rob (Jane) Menker of St. Marys, John Menker of St. Marys and Andrew (Amy) Menker of St. Marys; five daughters, Terri (Dale) Whetstone of St. Marys, Chris Freewalt of St. Marys, Kathy (Tom) Bruggeman of St. Marys, Mindy (Dave) Wilkinson of Westerville and Trisha (Shawn) Gibson of Columbus; three brothers, Clete (Irene) Albers of Ashland, Rob (Viola) Albers of Coldwater and Urb (Vi) Albers of Minster; two sisters, Jeanette (Bob) Weaver of Minster and Mary Ann (Roger) Schmitmeyer of Fort Loramie; 23 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

Rosemary was a 1953 graduate of Fort Loramie High School. She retired from Huffys after 25 years of employment. She was an avid member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and Altar Society in St. Marys.

She enjoyed and cherished spending time with her family, gardening, sewing, playing bridge with her friends, having luncheons with her high school classmates and caring for their dog, Tiny.

Rosemary was a devoted wife, a wonderful mom, an incredible grandma and a great friend. As our hearts ache for the physical loss of her, we find solace knowing that she is now with God. She is at peace. And for that, we are grateful.

A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Church, St. Marys, with the Rev. Tony Cutcher officiating.

Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in St. Marys.

Visitation hours will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Cisco Funeral Home of St. Marys, located at 1175 E. Greenville Road.

Memorial contributions can be made to Grand Lake Hospice or to Friends of Holy Rosary.
