Rosemary R. Meinerding, 79

Rosemary R. Meinerding, 79, formerly of Mendon and St. Marys, died following an extended illness at 10:20 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2013, at Elmwood Assisted Living in New Bremen.

She was born on May 18, 1934, in Coldwater to Joseph and Emma (Reigelsperger) Weiss.

On April 4, 1951, in Coldwater, she Married August J. Meinerding, who died on May 10, 2000.

Survivors include two sons, Richard (Connie) Meinerding  of St. Marys and John (Mary) Meinerding  of Celina; three daughters, Jane (Lanford) Combs  of Lima, Karen (John) Bertke  of Celina and Anna Stein  of Celina; a son, Michael (Arliss) Meinerding  of Mendon; 17 grandchildren;   33 great-grandchildren; a brother, Albert Weis  of Coldwater.

 She was preceded in death by parents Joseph and Emma Weis; husband August Meinerding; two sisters, Mary Huber and Angie Koverman; three brothers, Norbert Weis, Rolland Weis and Andrew Weis.

She was a retired production employee from the Huffy Bicycle Manufacturing Company in Celina.

She was a former member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Rockford, and a member of Eagles Lodge Aerie #767 auxiliary in St. Marys.

Rosemary volunteered countless hours for the JTDM Hospital in St. Marys.

Her favorite pastimes included quilting, crocheting, fishing and playing bingo. She also enjoyed spending many winters in Florida with her late husband.

Rites are schedule to begin at noon Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Ohio 703 West Chapel, in St. Marys.

Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, near Moulton.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be directed to State of the Heart Hospice.
