Rolland Zimmerman, 90

Rolland Zimmerman, 90, of 3820 Hone-Weir Road in Celina, passed away at 1:55 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2013, at Miller House, Celina. He was born on Jan. 19, 1923, in Celina, to the late Ralph and Elsie (Eichenauer) Zimmerman. On Sept. 14, 1945, he married Betty Lou Hays, who lives in Celina.

Also surviving are his son and daughter-in-law Craig and Carol Zimmerman, of Celina, three grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his three brothers and sister-in-law, and his sister and brother-in-law.

He served his country in the United States Army during World War II with Company K Twenty Second Infantry Regiment Fourth Division.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina with the Rev. John Exman officiating. Burial will follow in Swamp College Cemetery in Celina with military honors by the Celina American Legion Post #210 and the Celina VFW Post #5713.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday and before 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina.

Memorial contribution may be made to the Bethany United Methodist Church Building Fund or State of the Heart Home Health and Hospice.
