Roger L. Stanek, 69

c, of 106 W. High St. in Mendon, died at 9:12 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2013, at Lima Memorial Health System.

He was born on March 25, 1943, in Omaha, Neb., to Kenneth and Wauneta (Woods) Stanek.

Survivors include four daughters, Tammy (David) Brott  of Omaha, Neb., Tracey Stanek  of Omaha, Neb., Kelly Bettcher  of Omaha, Neb., Michelle Petzold  of Eugene, Ore.; a son, David Scroggins  of Decatur, Ill.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister.

He was preceded in death by parents Kenneth and Wauneta Stanek; an infant sister.

Rites are scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. Friday at the Mendon United Methodist Church, the Rev. Donald Clinger, officiating.

Burial will follow at the Mendon Cemetery in Mendon.

 Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be directed to either Gideons International or Jews for Jesus.
