Rodney A. Whetstone, 48, of Wapakoneta, died on Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, at his brother’s home in Okeana.

He was born on Jan. 7, 1964, in Lima, to Robert and Connie (Link) Whetstone, and they preceded him in death.

He is survived by a daughter and fiancé, Ginny Rohrer and Thomas Anderson of Wapakoneta; a stepson, Jaye Helton of Lima; a granddaughter; two brothers.

A U.S. Navy veteran, he served during the Libyan War.  

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Long & Folk Chapel, 13 S. Blackhoof St., Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Jon Spyker officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of services Friday at the funeral home.
