Robert R. Beckett, 58, of Middletown, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at his residence.
He was born on Sept. 14, 1955, in St. Marys, to Paul and Dixie (Thompson) Beckett.
Robert is survived by his wife of 34 years, Kimberly E. Beckett, children Michael (Kristin) Beckett of Columbus, Nicole (Casey) Wilson and Derrick Beckett, both of Middletown, grandchildren Brooklyn and Jillian Beckett and Travis Wilson, sisters Deborah (Rick) Morrison of Middletown; Linda (Brian) O’Neill of Pendleton, Ind.; Sherri (Shawn) English of Middletown and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He served in the U.S. Army and received an honorable discharge. Robert was manager for Burrows Paper for 20 years and Volunteer Fireman and EMT for the Madison Fire Department. He was an avid golfer and Cincinnati sports fan.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, the Rev. Robbie Childers officiating.
Interment will take place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Madison Fire Department Services.
