Robert G. Fields, 51, of Mendon, died on Sunday, May 20, 2012, from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident.

He was born on Oct. 11, 1960, in Ellwood City, Pa., to Coral Eileen Alborn Fields and Emmanuel Ray Fields, and his mother survives him in Florida. His father and stepmother, Mary Ann Fields, survive in Fombell, Pa.

He is also survived by the love of his life, Connie Altenbach of Mendon; a son, Joshua (Kristin) Fields of Wind Gap, Pa.; a granddaughter; six siblings.

He was preceded in death by a stepmother; a stepbrother.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, stationed in Panama, El Salvador and Vietnam.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, near Mendon, with the Rev. Dave Wilson officiating.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at W.H. Dick & Sons - Hellwarth Funeral Home, Mendon.
