Robbery Suspect Sought

NEW BREMEN — Law enforcement officials in Auglaize County are looking for a suspect believed to be responsible for an armed robbery near New Bremen Wednesday afternoon.

The Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office received a call at 1:11 p.m. Wednesday reporting a robbery at a residence along Amsterdam Road, just west of New Bremen.

The initial report was that two men were confronted at a residence on Amsterdam Road by a lone, white male subject. The men were held at gunpoint and the suspect also reportedly had a knife. The suspect then stole a pickup truck from the residence and fled east bound on Amsterdam Road.

The suspect stole a gray 2012 GMC Sierra full size pickup truck with a silver tool box in the bed. The Ohio license plate number is FOQ6461.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 20 years of age, 6 feet tall wearing a leather jacket, Nike sweat shirt and sunglasses and cap.

There were no injuries to any of the residents. Deputies and detectives responded to the area along with officers from the New Bremen and Minster police departments. All area law enforcement were notified and assisted in the search of the area. The vehicle and suspect have not been located as of press time.
