Rider boys and girls basketball players named to All-WBL lists

The improved St. Marys boys basketball team garnered three spots on the Western Buckeye League’s All-League lists released over the weekend.

St. Marys junior Isaac Fitzgerald was named Second Team All-WBL.

Roughrider sophomore Nathan Wilker earned Third Team All-WBL.

St. Marys senior guard Marquis Wilson was Honorable Mention.

Elida’s Dakota Mathias won Player of the Year once again.

First Teamers included Taren Sullivan of Bath, Ryan Hoyng of Celina, Trey Guilliam and Katwaan Singleton of Defiance, Ottawa-Glandorf’s Noah Bramlage and Elida’s Mathias.

Joining Fitzgerald on the Second Team were Colin Gossard of Bath, Logan Delong of Celina, Louis Gray of Elida and Connor Holliday of Van Wert.

Along with Wilker on the Third Team were Andrew Renner of Bath, Mason Ross of Celina, Austin Phillips of Kenton, Alex Schroeder of O-G, Jaden O’Neal of Shawnee and Matt Bidlack of Van Wert.

Honorable Mention players were Hayden Atkins of Bath, Grant Laffin of Celina, Emilio Pearson of Defiance, Austin Allemeier of Elida, Cloyn Blackford of Kenton, Tyler Zender of O-G, Trey Brock of Shawnee, Kyle Keber of Van Wert, Adam Henderson of Wapakoneta and Wilson of S. Marys.

Girls ALL-WBL

St. Marys junior Erika Angstmann was named Third Team All-Western Buckeye League and  senior Reagan Aller was named Honorable Mention as the lists were released over the weekend.

Kristen Miller of Ottawa-Glandorf was named Player of the Year.

First Teamers were Madison Dackin of Bath, Danielle Van Dyne of Bath, Brooke Bostelman of Kenton, MIller of O-G, Erin Morrow of Van Wert and Sara Warner of Wapakoneta.

Second Teamers included Alyssa Manley of Bath, Abby Waddle of Elida, Elissa Ellerbrock of O-G, Alexis Dowdy of Van Wert and Carly Buzzard of Wapakoneta.

Along with Angstmann on the Third Team were Bri Smith of Bath, Heather Heiby of Celina, Anna Bellman of O-G and Maddi Stiles of Wapakoneta.

Honorable Mention players along with Aller were Jenna Hollar of Bath, Jenna Berry of Celina, Kylie Downton of Elida, Laura Schrag of Defiance, Ashley Morris of Kenotn, Danielle Schroeder of O-G, Isabelle Baird of Shawnee, Cheyenne Handy of Van Wert and Megan Watt of Wapak.
