Rickey W. Timbs, 57

Rickey W. Timbs, 57, of 7293 State Route 219, Celina, died suddenly at 3:20 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, in the emergency department of Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater, after suffering an apparent heart attack.

He was born on July 26, 1955, in Marion, Ind., the son of William Windred and Lillian (Muncey) Timbs.

He is survived by his stepmother, Jo Timbs of Hartford City, Ind.; by his life partner, Kami Howell of Celina; by his two children, Tyson Timbs of Marion, Ind. and Aubrey (Jason) Homan of St. Marys; by a granddaughter, Kayla Homan of St. Marys; by two stepgrandchildren, Reese Howell and Rhett Howell; by a brother, William (Lynda) Timbs; by three sisters, Barb (Norm) Roysden, Mary Farley and Beverly Richardson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; by a sister, Alice Miller; by a stepgranddaughter, Ryah Nicole Howell, who died Nov. 9, 2012.

Rickey was a 21-year veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in St. Marys. He was a member of the Celina Moose Lodge. He enjoyed collecting coins, watching football, and spending time with his grandchildren. He absolutely loved taking care of his car.

Funeral rites will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys, the Rev. Dr. David Williams, officiant. Military honors will be conducted at the funeral home following the funeral rites.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
