The Rev. Glenn Masser, 82

The Rev. Glenn Masser, 82, of Venedocia, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2013, at Celina Manor.

He was born on Nov. 3, 1930, to Leslie A. and Lillian M. (Whipp) Masser in Frederick County, Md.

He married Mary Grams Masser on June 14, 1953, and she survives.

He is also survived by two sons, Robert E. (Peggy) Masser of Montrose, Mich. and Dr. Philip R. (Kelly) Masser of Celina; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Mark A. Masser; two brothers, Richard L. and Leslie D. Masser; a sister, Lillian J. Masser Morrison.

A United States Army veteran, he served during the Korean War at bases in Fort Jackson, S.C.; Waukegan, Ill.; Fort Lewis, Wash.; and in Alaska from 1954 to 1956.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Mendon First Church of God, the Rev. Keith Stoller and Rev. Dean Bruce, officiating.

Burial will be at Tomlinson Cemetery, near Mendon.

Calling hours are from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at W.H. Dick and Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, and an hour before services on Tuesday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Celina Manor piano fund.
