Regina B. Aselage, 97, formerly of McCartyville, died on Thursday, July 14, 2011, at Dorothy Love Nursing Home.

She was born on May 3, 1914, in St. Patrick, to Henry and Anna (Schmitmeyer) Hoying, and they preceded her in death.

On Aug. 17, 1939, she married Clemens J. Aselage in St. Patrick, and he preceded her in death on May 22, 2001.

She is survived by sons, William (Joan) of Orange Park, Fla., Thomas (Janet) Aselage of Tipp City, Jerome (Sharon) Aselage of Wapakoneta, Clem Jr. (Sherry) Aselage of Dayton, Dennis  (Janet) Aselage of Sidney, Leonard Joseph Aselage of Sidney, and John (Teresa) Aselage of Anna; 21 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; five brothers; two sisters-in-law;

She was preceded in death by a grandchild; five siblings; two sisters-in-law;  

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McCartyville,  with the Rev. John Tonkin and the Rev. Daniel Schmitmeyer officiating. 

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster and from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Church Catholic Church. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in McCartyville. Online condolences may be made at
