Red Cross Director Steps Down

June 5, 2013

ST. MARYS — The director of the Auglaize County Red Cross announced his last day on the job will be Thursday, citing time constraints.

Ken Cline, who has been in the position for 18 months, announced his intentions to step down on Wednesday. Cline said the decision was tough to make and came in the wake of a fire at a home he has on Lake Erie. The home was destroyed and Cline has spent much of his time up north dealing with the issue.

"There was just no way I could continue to give the time needed to this position and do it well," Cline told The Evening Leader.
