Rea M. Bowersock, 95

Rea M. Bowersock, 95, of rural Spencerville, died at 11:03 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, at St. Rita’s Medical Center.

She was born on April 25, 1916, in Union Township, the daughter of Isaac and Pearl Irelan Shank, and they preceded her in death.

On Oct. 5, 1932, she married G. Harold Bowersock, and he preceded her in death on July 2, 2008.

She is survived by four children, William “Bill” (Teresa) Bowersock and James “Jim” (Nancy) Bowersock, both of rural Spencerville, Carol Trice of Van Wert and Janet (Ken) Keiber of Fort Amanda; 10 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Betty Lou and infant Helen Louise Bowersock; five siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville, with the Rev. Raymond S. Daniel Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Spencerville Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kossuth-Zion United Methodist Church.
