Phillip M. Lewis, 55, of 117 S. Main St., St. Marys, died on Saturday, June 25, 2011, at his residence.
He was born on Sept. 5, 1955, in Celina, the son of Raymond K. and Nora (Colwell) Lewis, and they preceded him in death.
He is survived by a daughter, Mahala Lewis of Savannah, Ga.; a granddaughter, Eisabella Bush of Savannah, Ga.; a sister, Bonnie (Bruce) Opperman of Elida; a stepsister, Judy (Chuck) Cuffaro of Gold Canyon, Ariz.; several nieces.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Keith Michael Lewis; his stepfather, Paul Harris.
Mr. Lewis was a 1973 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School and also graduated from Wright State University. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He had been employed at Safeway Packing in Minster, where he was a forklift operator.
He loved to golf and loved listening to music. He was an avid supporter of the Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State University Buckeyes. He loved his daughter very much and was especially proud of his granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 315 W. High St., St. Marys, with the Rev. John Mobley officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdayat the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed via Millerfuneralhomes.net.
