Pearl Walker, 82

Pearl Walker, 82, formerly of 319 S. Beech St., St. Marys, died at 8:40 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2012, at Golden Living Center – Valley.

She was born on April 26, 1927, in Pruden, Tenn., to Elvin and Mary (Adkins) Orick, and they preceded her in death.

She is survived by a brother, Verlin (Janie) Orick of St. Marys; a sister, Evelyn (Hewell) Teague of St. Marys; two brothers-in-law, Donald Schell of St. Marys and Clay Beagle of St. Marys; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, Hubert Orick, Clyde Orick, Charles Orick, Luke Orick and her twin, Earl Orick; six sisters, Hannah Partin, Frances Orick, Geneva Davis, Retha Schell, Edith Orick and Judy Beagle.

She retired after 36 years as a production employee from the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in St. Marys.

Her favorite pastimes included cooking, baking and growing flowers. Pearl was dedicated to her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She was dearly loved and will be missed so much by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Rites are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West Chapel), St. Marys. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens near Moulton.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
