Pauline E. Ruschau, 84

Pauline E. Ruschau, 84, of Ohio 119 in Maria Stein, died at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at St. Marys Living Center. 

She was born on Oct. 21, 1928, in Coldwater to the late Louis and Rose (Spoltman) Mescher. 

She married Jerome “Jim” Ruschau on May 29, 1954.  He preceded her in death on Nov. 9, 2003.

She is survived by children, Michael and Karen Ruschau of Cridersville, Sandra and Tim Hirschfeld of St. Marys, Mark and Theresa Ruschau of New Bremen, David and Molly Ruschau of Avon; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother Linus and JoAnn Mescher of Celina. 

She was preceded in death by brothers and sister, Carl, Ralph, Wilfred, Don Mescher and Lucille Homan. 

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Maria Stein, the Director of Religious Education of St. John Parish, member of the Ladies Sodality of the Church, a Library Volunteer at Marion Local Schools and a member of American Legion Auxiliary in Maria Stein.  She was an avid reader and loved word puzzles. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Maria Stein, the Rev. Tom Brenberger celebrant. 

Friends may call at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday. 

Burial will take place in St. John Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Friends of the Coldwater Public Library.
