Paul R. Maltinsky, 92

Paul R. Maltinsky, 92, formerly of 240 N. Main St., Minster, died at 5:20 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at Elmwood of New Bremen.

He was born on Oct. 3, 1919, in Wheeling, W.Va., to former immigrants from Austria-Hungary Paul and Anna (Stanek) Malatinsky, and they preceded him in death.

On July 31, 1948, at St. Michael Church in Fort Loramie, he married Ann M. Barhorst, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 25, 2008.

He is survived by his children, Pam Maltinsky of Columbus, Anita (David) Uetrecht of Botkins, Lynn (Jeanne) Maltinsky of Williamsburg, Va., Greg (Joann) Maltinsky of Minster, Nathan (Chris) Maltinsky of Millis, Mass., and Christine (Jay) Purdy of Minster; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law; seven nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a great-grandson; six siblings.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster, with the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial will be at St. Augustine Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Hogenkamp Minster.   

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Augustine Men’s Choir.
