Patti A. Hullinger, 51

Patti A. Hullinger, 51, of 909 Tecumseh Drive, St. Marys, died at 4:17 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

She was born on Nov. 2, 1960, in Hammond, Ind., to Ralph and Colleen (Popyk) Rodgers, and they preceded her in death.

On Dec. 27, 1987, in Loveland, Colo., she married Timothy A. Hullinger, and he survives.

She is also survived by two sons, Rob (Brandy) Hullinger of St. Marys and Korey (Ashley) Hullinger of St. Marys; two granddaughters, May and Maggie Hullinger; a stepdaughter, Angela (Lonnie) Walston of Loveland, Colo.; three stepgrandchildren; two sisters, Evelyn (Stanley) Hull of Loveland, Colo., and Terri (Tony Limes) Stephens of Ridgeley, Tenn.; her mother-in-law, Edna Hullinger of St. Marys.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Fred Hullinger.

She was a 1979 graduate of Thompson Valley High School in Loveland, Colo. She was co-owner of T & P Auto Body Repair and Paint Center in St. Marys and worked in the housekeeping department at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital. In addition, she enjoyed seasonal employment working in the greenhouses at Flower & Plant Barn.

Her love of flowers was most evident in the beautiful floral gardens that surrounded her home. Throughout the growing season, she usually could be found tending her flower beds while sipping on a can of her favorite beverage, Pepsi-Cola. Wherever she went, on her heels were her faithful canine companions, “Wrinkles” and “Tinker.”

Rites are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West Chapel), St. Marys, with the Rev. Jerry Schetter officiating.

Visitation will be held from noon  to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
