Patrick H. Deiters, 47

Patrick H. Deiters, 47, of 102 Buckingham Place, Botkins, passed away on Friday, Oct. 14, 2011.

He was born on March 22, 1964, in St. Marys, the son of Herman Deiters and Ann (Burke) Deiters of Minster, and his mother survives him.

He is also survived by two daughters, Danielle and Heather Deiters, both of Anna; two brothers, John (Diane) Deiters of Anna and Mike Deiters of Minster; one sister, Mrs. Marvin (Julie) Stueve of Minster; his grandmother, Isabelle Burke of St. Marys.  

Mr. Deiters was a member of Local Union 574 and was employed by Sasco Masonry in Sylvania. Pat was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved the outdoors. He also enjoyed NASCAR racing. He formerly attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McCartyville.   

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McCartyville, with the Rev. John W. Tonkin officiating.

A private family burial will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery in Minster.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Cromes Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave., Sidney. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that memorials be made to Shelby County Ducks Unlimited Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 4333, Sidney, OH, 45365 in memory of Patrick Deiters. Envelopes will be provided at the church during calling hours.
