Omar G. "Jeep" Patton, 69

Omar G. “Jeep” Patton, 69, of 674 E. Third St. Minster, died at 11 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.

He was born on Aug. 29, 1943, in Sidney, to the Waldo and Thelmo (Fogt) Patton, they preceded him in death. 

He was married on June 1, 1968, in Minster, to Beverly Bergman, and she survives in Minster along with her children Kirsten and Chris Erbe, Panama City Beach, Fla., Tess and Doug Voisard, Minster, Kyle and Kelli Patton, Florence, Ky., seven grandchildren, one brother. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter.

He was a  veteran of the Vietnam War.

A full military service will be conducted by the Minster Firing Squad at the cemetery.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Rev. Rick Nieberding presiding. Burial will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, from 3 p.m. to 8  p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Memorial donations may be made to the Minster Fire Department and the Minster Area Life Squad.
