Norma M. Rickert, 78

Norma M. Rickert, 78, of Wapakoneta, died at 2:11 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2012, at Lima Memorial Health System, following a sudden illness.

She was born on Dec. 5, 1933, in Wapakoneta, the daughter of Willard and Agnes (Roby) Ruck, and they preceded her in death.  

On June 15, 1952, she married Paul E. Rickert, and he survives.

She is also survived by two daughters, Debra (Randy) Presar and Darla (Ken) Frame, both of Wapakoneta; five grandchildren, Jeremy (Lauren) Presar, Matt (Sarah) Frame, Cari Frame, Todd (Courtney) Presar and Megan (Brett) Schroeder; five great-grandchildren, Makayla Frame, Bo and Brody Presar and Emma and Owen Frame.

Norma had worked with the city of Wapakoneta and Time Warner. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church,Wapakoneta, where she was active with the adult choir and bell choir.

Norma was a member of the Soroptimist International and a 1951 graduate of Blume High School. She was a bowler for more than 50 years and enjoyed golfing.

Her other interests included crocheting, cooking and baking. She was an avid fan of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and supported them by her attendance at their various activities.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First English Lutheran Church in Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Steven Nelson officiating.

Burial is to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.  

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Ohio 501, Wapakoneta, and one hour before the service at the church Tuesday.
