New Pizza Place To Open

November 29, 2012

ST. MARYS — Local residents in search of a piece of pizza will soon have another option to satisfy their craving this week.

Dan Egbert, owner of the Woodland Rollerdome, will open Rinkside Pizza on Friday. The pizza place is located inside the skating rink and will replace the snack bar. Egbert and his wife, Victoria, have been working on the upgrade for the past year.

“We felt like the food needed to be upgraded,” Egbert said.

Egbert noted he wanted to have something better to serve for special events at the rink, like birthday parties.

Rinkside will serve pizza, subs, and appetizers to hungry skaters. In addition, Egbert is offering free pizza delivery, which he said will be the main focus of the business. The areas of delivery will include St. Marys, Villanova, Sandy Beach and Neptune.

Egbert said the business has one distinction that sets itself apart from other pizza parlors.

“Parents can order a pizza when they drop their kids off for skating and pick up the pizza when they pick their kids up,” Egbert said. “We’re trying to offer a very appetizing pizza at a good price.”
