New Knoxville's Horstman named Special Mention All-Ohio

New Knoxville junior guard Haley Horstman earned Special Mention All-Ohio honors as the Associated Press announced its Division IV girls list on Tuesday night.

Horstman averaged 16.9 points, 3.9 steals, 3.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.

Horstman led the Rangers to a share of the Midwest Athletic Conference title and a 19-win regular season.

Waynesfield-Goshen’s Kaylee Patton, a 5-foot-9 senior who averaged 26.5 points per game, was named Second Team All-Ohio.

Fort Loramie 5-foot-8 junior Darian Rose, who averaged 17.3 points per game, was also on the Second Team. Rose and the Redskins will play in the Division IV state semifinals on Friday at the Schottenstein Center.

Marion Local’s Chelsea Winner was named honorable mention.

Ottoville’s Abby Siefker was named Player of the Year in Division IV.

Ottoville’s Dave Kleman and Arcadia’s Randy Baker shared the Coach of the Year award.

In Division III, Versailles’ Katie Heckman was named honorable mention.
