New Knoxville Independence Day Celebration Schedule of Events

Saturday, July 2

8 a.m. — Woody A. Piehl Wooden Bat Softball Tournament

8:30 a.m. — 5K Walk/Run — to enter contact Samantha Menke at 567-204-8571

9:30 a.m. — One mile fun run — to enter contact Samantha Menke at 567-204-8571

11 a.m. — Flag ceremony-Cub Scouts

11:30 a.m. — The Way International Choir

Noon —  Dodgeball Tournament- Lesia Arnett

    Food Tent and Junior Class Food / Beverages Open

    Park Prize and Cash Raffle in shelterhouse

    Kids Mechanical Rides

    Homemade Ice Cream

    Cake Wheel

1 p.m. — Kids’ Games 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. (Redeem kids’ game prizes by 9:30 p.m.)

    Freedom Train trips

2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Kid's Saw Dust Pile (Runs Every Half Hour) for ages 5 – 12 years

2 p.m. to 8 p.m. — Dunk Tank

4 p.m. — Festival parade

8 p.m. to midnight — Live Music: The Earthquakers

 

Sunday, July 3

8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. — Breakfast: All you can eat pancakes with side of sausage and drink

10:15 a.m. — Church Service: Please bring Lawn Chairs

11:30 a.m.  — Woody A. Piehl Wooden Bat Softball Tournament Continues

Noon —    Food Tent and Jr. Class Food / Beverages Open

    Kids Mechanical Rides

    Park Prize and Cash Raffle in shelter house

    Pie Baking Contest - $10 sign up - to enter contact Samantha Menke at 567-204-8571

    Kids’ Games 12:00 to 9:00 p.m. (Redeem kids’ game prizes by 9:30 p.m.)

1 p.m. — Little League Game NK vs. NB (Third grade)

    Sr. Cornhole Tournament ($400 First Place Prize)Sign up at 12:30 p.m.

    Jr. Cornhole (immediately following Sr. tourney)

2 p.m. to 4 p.m. — Kid's Saw Dust Pile (Runs Every Half Hour) for ages 5 – 12 years

3 p.m. — Little League Game NK vs. NB (Fourth Grade)

4 p.m. — BBQ Chicken Dinners (dine at the park or pick-up on Hoge Street)

5 p.m. — Little League Game NK vs. NB (Fifth Grade)

7 p.m. — Little League Game NK vs. NB (Sixth Grade)

8 p.m. to midnight — Live Music: Exploit

9:45 p.m. — The National Anthem - Bob Schroeder - Lead singer of Exploit Band, Color Guard - American Legion Post #444

10 p.m. — Fireworks display

11 p.m. — NKCPA 2000 Club Cash Giveaway drawing

      Park Prize Raffle and Cash Raffle Drawing
