Miriam B. Holtkamp, 93

Miriam B. Holtkamp, 93, a resident at the Dorothy Love Retirement Community near Sidney, died at 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013.

She was born on Jan. 25, 1919, in Shelby County to Herbert and Mary (Zorn) Fogt.  

She married Llewellyn “Charlie” W. Holtkamp on June 21, 1941, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 1, 1970.

Surviving are her daughter Sharon (Edward) Judt of Lafayette, Ind.; two granddaughters; one grandson; and two great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are her three brothers; a sister; a sister-in-law; two brothers-in-law; many nieces and nephews.  

Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers; two sisters; a grandson-in-law; a brother-in-law; a sister-in-law; two nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Jan. 12, at the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Kettlersville, the Rev. Charles Moeller, officiating.  

The family will welcome friends from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the services at the church.  

Burial will be at a later date in the Schwaberow Cemetery near Kettlersville.  

Memorial contributions may be made to the Immanuel Church Memorial Fund.   Arrangements are being handled by the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home of New Bremen. Condolences to the family may be left at GilbergHartwigFh.com.
