The Minster girls cross country team looks to set a new OHSAA record for most state titles when it runs in the Division III state meet on Saturday at National Trail Raceway in Hebron.
The Wildcats captured their third straight state crown and 10th overall last November at Scioto Downs in Columbus. Now Minster will need to attack a new course after the OHSAA moved the state championships site after 26 years at Scioto Downs. A win would give Minster 10 girls state titles — breaking a tie with the Caldwell boys program.
Running for Minster will be freshman Gabrielle Barga, junior Hannah Butler, sophomore Olivia Enneking, junior Natalie Fausey, senior Samantha Hoelscher, sophomore Leah Niekamp and junior Amanda Sherman.
New Knoxville will send a pair of runners to Hebron.

New Knoxville’s Isaac Kuntz will compete in the boys Division III race at 1:30 p.m.
The Fort Loramie girls team finished in the top three at the regional and will compete as a squad in the Division III race.
