Minster Business Expands Offerings
MINSTER — Ohio Panel Structures in Minster has expanded its product line.
Four years ago, owner Mitch Bihn started Ohio Fabric Structures, but now has expanded his business to offer contractors, construction companies, roofing companies, and other commercial builders a one-stop shop for OPS steel building systems.
“They can go through us for the siding, the roofing, steel ... the structural steel, too,” said Eric Brown, sales/marketing director. “Our clients are mainly contractors, construction companies, roofing companies, but we do offer for local residents if you’re going to put up a pole barn or a garage or a machine shed or something, we offer products for that, too. They can get the materials to do that on their own if they wanted to build that on their own.”
Their line of insulated panels, manufactured through MBCI, a metal roof and wall systems manufacturer, are energy efficient.
“They are designed to be more energy efficient as far as saving money (on) your energy bills and reducing job site waste and speeding up your construction time, and making it more efficient as far as putting it together,” Brown said.
The panels are pre-fabricated and come off a flatbed, ready to install, he said. Construction is designed to be easy, with fewer people needed to put them together.
“What we are focused on is we’re a small company,” Bihn said. “We like to focus on the business to business, hands-on relationship that we do. We focus on energy efficient materials, trying to reduce the operation cost of buildings. We also work with a large corporation, but we’re bringing in the small business aspect to it, that way it’s easier access for construction companies to talk to us.
“That’s probably our main advantage.”
